Trauma/PTSD Treatment

Therapy for OCD

Larsen Behavioral Wellness works with adults and children experiencing symptoms of OCD, including obsessional thoughts and compulsive behaviors (such as handwashing, checking, and engaging in repetitive behaviors). Our therapists use evidence-based Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to teach your body to resist engaging in the upsetting compulsive behaviors.

Parent Child Interaction Therapy

Dr. Larsen

Dr. Larsen is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York and New Jersey. She is a published author, a national speaker, and an expert in the field of family psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling, Clinical and School psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Larsen completed her clinical fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she trained with national experts in the field of family and child psychology. While in academia, her research focused on military families and veterans dealing with traumatic injuries. She is an active member of the New Jersey Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association, and the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapists.

Joel Cortese
EdS, LPC, NCC

I pursued my undergraduate education in Psychology from Seton Hall University. I continued in graduate school to earn a MA in School Counseling and an EdS in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University. I am a New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor, New Jersey Certified School Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. My passion has always been helping others and I look forward to the opportunity to work together!

Patricia Kramer
M.A., Ed.S, LMFT

I hold an M.A. is counseling psychology, as well as an Ed.S., in systems theory from Seton Hall University. I am a New Jersey State licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Mindfulness Training. During my post graduate internship, I worked with the incarcerated population to help inmates discover the potential within them to make positive changes. I use an eclectic theoretical approach to help couples, individuals and families process what might be causing strain in their relationships as well as and explore healthy coping strategies in order to reach homeostasis. Helping people discover solutions that work for them to find peace and satisfaction is my focus.
